APPRECIATION

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my Aunt, Mommy Itching, for giving me the chance to experience this prestigious SEA-Teacher program. Without her unwavering support and generosity, this journey would not have been possible. She believed in me and gave me the opportunity to take this once-in-a-lifetime experience that shaped not only my teaching but also my outlook in life. I am also truly thankful to my relatives who stood by me all throughout, offering not only financial assistance but also emotional support that kept me motivated in times when I doubted myself. To my Amparo family, especially Lola Ruth and Attorney Ann, I extend my heartfelt appreciation for their constant encouragement, prayers, and words of wisdom that reminded me to stay strong, faithful, and focused on my goals.

A very special thanks also goes to Dr. Estomo for believing in me and for making this opportunity a reality. His guidance, encouragement, and presence gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and embrace this international experience with confidence. Having him journey with us made me feel more secure, guided, and motivated to give my best in every step of the program.

To my fellow SEA-Teacher participants, I am so blessed to have shared this journey with you. Rojeal, you were like a mother to me. You cared for me in ways I will never forget, whether it was reminding me of the little things, making sure I was okay, or guiding me like a parent would. Kath, on the other hand, was like an older sister, someone who made us laugh with her humor and light-heartedness, and someone with such a strong personality that inspired me to also be brave and stand firm. Both of you made me feel like I had a family with me in Indonesia. You didn’t just share the program with me, you shared your hearts, your care, and your friendship, which made my experience truly unforgettable.

To our student buddies, Dhila and Dwi, thank you for being more than just friends, you were our interpreters, our companions, and our bridge to understanding Indonesia better. You were patient in helping us with language and culture, and you never failed to guide us with kindness and warmth. Your laughter, stories, and willingness to help made our days lighter and more meaningful.

To Dr. Yayuk, our SEA-Teacher Coordinator, I will always be grateful. You guided us with so much care, like a parent making sure their children are safe and well. You made sure that we were always in good hands, that our needs were met, and that we could carry on our journey with confidence and security. Your kindness and dedication gave us the assurance that we were never alone in a foreign land.

To UMSU (Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara), thank you for welcoming us warmly and giving us an academic home where we could learn and grow. To Al-Amjad Islamic School, I am deeply grateful for trusting me with your students and allowing me to experience teaching in a different cultural and linguistic setting. To ISUFST (Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology), thank you for entrusting me to represent our institution and for opening the doors to this international journey. And finally, to my cooperating teacher, Umi Indah, thank you for being such a generous mentor. Observing and learning from you gave me valuable insights, and your support helped me navigate my teaching responsibilities with more confidence.

All these people and institutions became my foundation throughout this program. They cared for me, guided me, and taught me valuable lessons that went beyond the classroom. This journey was not only about teaching and learning, it was about relationships, trust, and love. For all these reasons, I will forever be thankful, because they made my SEA-Teacher journey truly meaningful and unforgettable.
