The Hague International Model United Nations is the largest high school MUN conference in the world, and this year it is online. The MUN club at IST has been participating in MUN conferences started by THIMUN Foundation since the 1980s. For information about specific years including IST delegate reflections, look at the buttons to the side of the page. IST has also sent ICJ participants and Student Officers to THIMUN multiple times, including holding President positions in both the Historic Security Council and the Security Council.

2017 Middle School Delegation
2018 Middle School and High School Delegation
Hosted by the Koc school in Istanbul, Turkey, MUNDP is a THIMUN affiliated conference. IST delegates took part in ICJ at the 2021 conference online, participating as a team of advocates and winning their cases!
It was the pair's first official ICJ advocate experience and after hearing the outcome they had this to say: " I am shocked, yet very happy - I find it a bit ironic, considering Thailand lost the case in real life. Even though our full judgement requests weren't granted (such as being able to keep the military in the area), we did end up winning the physical land itself. I can't believe we were lucky enough to have this be the final verdict, but we are both really happy about the outcome."

2019 High School (+Sunny) Delegation
Hosted in Amman, Jordan, by the Amman Baccalaureate school is another THIMUN affiliated conference. IST delegates took part in the conference in 2019. Our club sent participants in all committees as well as two student officers. Having attended once or twice in the past, the club was eager to go back and visit Jordan.
With day trips to both Petra and the Dead Sea, it is safe to say the experience was enjoyable both in and out of the conference hours.
