What is the dress code at the conference?

The dress code at the DARMUN conference is formal, men are expected to wear suits (coat, shirt and tie). Women are expected to wear slacks, skirts or even suits.

What are the different types of points and motions?

Point Of Personal Privilege- This is the only point in the conference which can interrupt a speaker while they are speaking. This point is used for personal need/request, such as audibility.

Point Of Order- A question asked by a delegate to the chair about rules and procedures.

Point Of Information- A question asked by a delegate to the speaker after they have given their stance on the question at hand.

Motion To Move To Previous Question- A motion to move on to the next agenda. This motion requires to be seconded and have no objections to pass.

What do I say during my opening speech?

An opening speech is usually a 1-2 minute speech given by the main submitter of a resolution and. He/She goes over the entire resolution and gives a few points on why the house should vote for the resolution.

Am I allowed to use personal pronouns during debate?

Personal pronouns are not allowed to be used, rather a delegate should address the house in third person.
