Please read and use these tips to keep you and your students safe while using Zoom
Carefully read the Privacy statements to better understand the risks to the privacy of your organization’s data
Refrain from posting the login details to the virtual meeting on insecure and open platforms (e.g. Twitter, FaceBook, Public Web Pages, etc.)
Configure your virtual sessions to be private versus public. This reduces the risk for uninvited participants
Refrain from discussing business confidential or details containing personally identifiable information (PII) or other sensitive data types, during virtual meetings
Educate users on what to expect and when to expect invitations. Note: There are malicious users who are spoofing legitimate companies and sending phishing fake emails for virtual meetings. Users who click on these links can become victims of phishing attacks and malware downloads
Set passwords for your meetings and only distribute that information to invited attendees (passwords - as of 4/4/20 this should be automatic)
Use valid email addresses for attendees and only send the invitation to those invited
Manage screen sharing options. In Zoom, change screen sharing to “Host Only.”
Ensure you are using the updated version of remote access/meeting applications. In January 2020, Zoom updated their software. In their security update, the teleconference software provider added passwords by default for meetings and disabled the ability to randomly scan for meetings to join.

If printing at home, usually only Local Printers (Connected via USB) allow them to print as they won't have to install a driver from the web. Some wireless Printers allow them to use Generic Drivers, so some are able to be used.
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
If it is a Local Printer (connected Via USB)
Unplug the USB Cable from the printer.
Reboot the Computer
Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > then select the printer that they are wanting to use > and click the minus sign to remove the printer.
Reboot computer, Reboot Printer, then re-connect the USB Cable and see if they can print to it then.
If it is a network printer (Connected over Wireless Internet)
Reboot the computer
Reboot the Printer
Reboot the Wireless Router
Go to System Preferences > System Preferences > then select the printer that they are wanting to use > and click the minus sign to remove the printer.
Go back to System Preferences > then Printers > and click the Plus button > and add the printer back via IP Address.
If the device has a driver that needs to be downloaded, it will not allow them to do this on a student device.
