Stairway Foundation Inc. is a non-governmental organization that supports marginalized children living on the streets. In this site, students visit the foundation in Puerto Galera and learn about their residential program for boys who were once street children. One key focus of our visit is understanding the issue of sexual abuse and sex trafficking among impoverished children in the country. To address this problem, the foundation has a program called "break the silence" that advocates for child protection. As part of the program, we will watch animated clips and learn more about child sexual abuse and sex trafficking.
