Endangered animals

Edited by Noemi C.

An endangered species is a type of organism that is threatened by extinction. Species become endangered for two main reasons: loss of habitat and loss of genetic variation. In recent years the problem is powered also by environmental pollution: for example, some bees’ species are dying for the use of DDT and other fishes’ and birds’ species, which have eaten microplastics, now they are dead. Another humans’ cause, for the animals’ extinction, is the construction of dams, highways, canals, urbanization, and agriculture, which have dramatically effects on the inhabitants of native ecosystems. The most famous threatened animals of the planet, at the moment, are Giant Pandas, tigers, blue whales, asian elephants, snow leopards, sea turtles, polar bears and gorillas. Scientists have estimated that 10.000 species become extinct every year.

So, we have to make all the possible in order to save endangered animals!

LET'S HELP THE BEES!

The "Bee Garden" contains four plant species, each one important for the life of bees.

On the one hand, the flowers of the kit ensure an abundance of nectar and pollen throughout the vegetative cycle of the bee and, on the other hand, the pollen of the plants contain all the essential amino acids for health of the entire colony.

The pack contains 4 cubes, in which there are 4 varieties of seeds: coreopsis, phacelia, borage and marigold.
