TURKEY

1st December 2018 Saturday – 1st day: Arrival of our guests: Those who will travel by flight will be picked up from Adnan Menderes Airport in İzmir by me or my partners .. We will be there to meet you and come back to Aydın . We have organized a bus to pick you up or we can use the ordinary shuttle as well. It depends on your arrival times. But do not worry... We will be waiting for you as a team ! J

Bulgarian team will travel by bus and they will also be met at the bus station by the members of our team. All the students will be met by their host families at our meeting point , then, the teachers will be taken to Tel ‘’Zincirlihan’’ where they are going to stay during the week.

We will have a welcome dinner together if your arrival times are not late. Otherwise , The hotel has a cosy restaurant.. You can have your dinner until 22:30 in that restaurant. We will reorganize it later accoding to your arrival times.

2nd December 2018 Sunday – 2 nd Day:At 8:30 , we will start our journey for Afrodisias and Pamukkale both of which are on the list of Unesco Cultural Heritage. We will have lunch at the restaurant of Denizli Anatolian Hotel management and Tourism Vocational High School. After our tours , we want you to see one of the textile centers in Denizli. We will also see some spots of Handmade Pottery which is also one of our cultural heritage.

And we will have our dinner in Nazilli on our way back home. We want you to taste our traditonal Pitta bread that has every type, with cheese, minced meat, meat, vegetable aetc. And another taste, pitta with sesame cream. I hope you will enjoy it. we will be in Aydın at around 21:00.

3rd of December 2018 Monday – 3 rd day School Visit at 8:45

I will come to your hotel to pick you up for our school visit at 8:30 . It takes 5 minutes to come to school on foot. Ou r headmaster will be waiting for you at our school to welcome you. Our cultural heritage corner and wall will be ready for you to see our cultural values. We will have a short workshop. We will prepare a platform for you to see and try paper marbling which is also our cultural heritage. We will have coffee break and a short school tour as well. Then we will go to the Tourism and Culture Center which is next to our school building. Most of you have already been there. We will have a programme in this center. It wil start at 10:30 . After the opening speech ( I promise it will take a short time)

Each country will introduce their great debaters. Please take your whole data on your usb with you. Then , You will see the shows prepared for you.Folk dances, dervishes , our traditional music show and the performance ofour students. They are preparing a mini concert for you. And the last song will be sung all the students on the stage.

Finally, each team will be invited to the stage to receive their presents.

At 13:30 , we will go to a restaurant to have our lunch. You will taste our traditional food that will be prepared by my friends.. I hope you will enjoy these homemade dishes.

After lunch, we will have a short visit to Aydın Chamber of Commerce. The chairman wants to host and give you some small presents. It will take about half an hour.. After this visit, we will have a city tour. You will be able to see the cultural and historical values of our city. Our Turkish guide will give you some information about them.

For the evening, I suggest to set our students free as they will be busy with their debate activities for the next 2 days.

For teachers, at: 20:30 we will be at the hotel to pick you up to take you ‘’ Davıd People ‘’

It is a pub where we can eat and listen to live music.

4th December 2018 Tuesday – 4th day: The First Day of our Debate tournaments.

We organized 3 silent rooms in the culture museum which is opposite of our school building.

At 8:30 we will meet on this location. I will pick you up from your hotel and the students will also be ready at this exact time. Lunch will be served here. We will have tea- coffee breaks as well.

After the tournament, if we have time and desire , we can go to our local market place where you can see different type of local food.

Tonight, we will set free our students . They will have a seperate plan for themselves. Some of our host families will supervise them during their free times ..

And we will pick you up from your hotel at 19:00 to go to Kuşadası. We will have a Turkish night there. Dinner and a special night.. Surprise!! I believe that you will enjoy it. Some of our colleaques will be with us for this special night and dinner. We take you there by our cars.

5th December 2018 Wednesday- 5 th Day: The second day of the Debate Tournaments

Meeting time 8:30

Meeting point : The same location.. I will be at the hotel at 8:15

Lunch will be served as it is for the first day.

At 19:30 we will be at the hotel to pick you up for the final party. In ‘’Keyif Bahçesi’’ we will have our gala dinner and enjoy the night all together. Our students will be ready at our meeting point at the same time. They will be taken to the party restaurant by our bus..

6th December 2018 Thursday – 6 th day:

At 8:30 , we will go start our journey for Ephesus and İzmir. Ephesus is one our cultural heritage as well. I don’t want yo to miss it. for lunc we will travel to İzmir which take 40 minutes to go there. We will have lunch all together in a nice place by the sea.

Then we will have free time in İzmir to see around, do some shopping and enjoy the beauty of İzmir.

We will go back to Aydın at around 19:00.

Students will go to their homes and if we willfeel energetic enough to go to eat and listen to music, we will offer you some alternatives..

7th December 2018 Friday- 7 th day:
