Sophomores

Sophomore year is full of career exploration, including a required  10th grade Careers & Finance Class.

Sophomore year is all about discovering your passions and identifying your strengths. Explore different career areas to see what ignites your interest. Then, use those discoveries to chart your course for future education and training after graduation.

It is essential for sophomores to practice good academic habits to earn good grades to keep options open in their future.  Interested students can explore taking college courses at AHS in 11th & 12th grade or enrolling in Post Secondary Education Options (PSEO) where they may attend college part or full time beginning their junior year.

Get involved in clubs, sports, or activities that spark your interest. These can help you build valuable skills and gain experiences to showcase on your activities resume - a must-have for future opportunities.

Any student who has failed classes should consult with Ms. Schlafke or Ms. Mersbergen to create a plan to get back on track to graduate.
