Junior year is an important year to research options beyond graduation.
Students are encouraged to continue career exploration and consider postsecondary education and training options. Some Advisory activities will explore career/college options, but juniors need to take their own time to consider the best path for them by researching options outside of the school day. Do not rush this process! Visit our Career & College page for resources to explore more.
Utilize resources such as MCIS to narrow down possible career areas, explore majors of interest, and find colleges that offer the training you need for the career.
Also if you haven't, start (or update) your resume of activities and awards during your time at AHS. This list of your accomplishments and involvement will come in handy as you go into fall of senior year as you apply to colleges and scholarships.
Students who have failed classes are encouraged to meet with Ms. Schlafke or Ms. Mersbergen to discuss a plan of action to get back on track to graduate.
