School Closing Information

It is the substitute’s responsibility to determine if there is a delay in the starting time of school or if the school is closed due to inclement weather or other emergency situation. Every attempt will be made to place an ALERT on the Absence Management website any morning when school is cancelled or will start late. The District operates a weather line at 952-758-1780. All Twin City TV stations carry information on school closings/delays as well.

If school is closed on a particular day due to an emergency, substitute teachers who are assigned for that day will not receive compensation. If school starts late or dismisses early due to an emergency, substitute teachers scheduled for a full day in grades K-12 will receive a full day of compensation.
