5th Grade - Math Masters Challenge 2016
Five 5th Graders participated in the regional Math Masters Competition of Minnesota Challenge in Duluth. The team competed individually and as a team on eight sets of mathematical problems against 197 other students from schools such as Hermantown, Isanti and Cloquet. Overall the team placed 15th out of 40 teams competing. Team member Josh Brinker placed in the winning bracket for the fact-drill round and the individual round.

The team competed individually and as a team on eight sets of mathematical problems against 97 other students from schools such as Hasting, Minneapolis and St. Michaels-Albertville. Overall the team placed 9th out of 21 teams competing. Two members of the team, Dorothy and Colton, placed in the winning bracket for the fact-drill round.
