The 6th Grade Math Masters Team competed against 20 teams in Burnville, MN, achieveing 9th place. Dianna B earned 15/89 place on the individual rounds and Max R. and Hudson N. earned 12/89 place on the Fact Drill!

A group of 6th grade students recently participated in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge. The students had been studying for the competition since October with their coach, Mrs. Blake. The Pine City students competed individually and as a team for 2 ½ hours on eight sets of mathematical problems against students from other schools. Several members of the Pine City teams placed in the winning bracket for the fact-drill round: Paige Wiener placed 11th, Alyssa Miller placed 5th, and Annika Clementson and Mitchell Norton both tied for 2nd place.
In the individual round, Pine City students were successful as well. Students who received awards in this round included Micah Hogberg (9th place) and Owen Ableman (4th place). Conor Ableman earned 1st place in the individual rounds.
On the Team Rounds, Pine City Team 1 placed 5th out of the 11 teams and Pine City Team 2 (Owen, Conor, Mitchell & Micah) earned 2nd place! Congratulations to the 6th Grade Math Masters Teams on a job well done.

Congratulation to the 5th Grade 2019 Math Masters Team who took 4th place out of the 22 teams competing!
Congratulations to the 5th Grade Pine City Elementary Math Masters Team! The students participated in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge in Prior Lake in April. Anthony, Charlie, Noah, Bryer, Nick and Ausitn., competed individually and as a team on eight sets of mathematical problems against 117 other students from schools such as Hastings, Minneapolis, and Apple Valley. Austin placed 10th for his performance on the fact-drill round Overall, the team achieved 7th place out of the 24 teams competing. Congratulations to the 5th Grade Math Masters Team.
In March, a group of 6th Grade students from Pine City Elementary School participated in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge in Prior Lake. Brody, Deacon, Sydney, Caitlin, and Lena competed individually and as a team on eight sets of mathematical problems against 89 other students from schools such as Hastings, Minneapolis, and Apple Valley. Deacon Foss placed in the top bracket for his performance on the fact-drill round. Congratulations to the 6th Grade Math Masters Team on all their hard work this season.
