The Pine City 5th and 6th Grade Knowledge Bowl Team had a very successful season. Knowledge Bowl is an after school activity which challenges the students' knowledge in the areas of science, geography, math language arts, history and general trivia. Students practice with their coach, Mrs. Joanne Blake, during lunch and after school. The members work together in teams made up of 5 to 6 students and compete against other teams from Mora and Rush City. The students worked hard and improved on their teamwork and knowledge throughout the season. The Pine City teams earned two of the three first place trophies, one second place trophy as well as 2 third place trophies this season. The students who participated in Knowledge Bowl this year were:
Tyler Hermanson, Leila Harron, Pera Root, Boden Wasson, Max Rydberg, Vincent Root, McCoy McConnell, Hudson Nicoll, Dianna Baker, Riley Quesenberry, Hannah Froelich, Ava Dutcher, Ryder McKenzie, Sawyer Dvorak, Riley Anderson, Olivia LeTourneau, Dylan Kohner and Shyanne Purcell.
Team 1 - 3rd Place
Team 3 - 1st Place
Team 3 - 2nd Place
Congratulations to Pine City Team 3 on their 3rd place finish in the first Knowledge Bowl meet of the season. Only one point separated each of the three top finishing teams. We are excited to host our next meet and try again!
