Classical math game, use all 4 numbers and + - × / to make 24!
Play with your math - eightfold challenge
Clear the Board
This activity is a great way for students to practice their math facts!
Directions:
Write the numbers 1-12 on a piece of paper.
Roll three dice.
Create an equation that equals one of the numbers and write it next to the number and then cross it off. You may work as a team or individually to cross off the numbers.
When you cannot cross off any more numbers, roll the dice again. How many times do you need to roll the dice to clear the board?
You do not have to use all three numbers for each equation. You may use addition, subtraction, multiplication and/or division in your equation.

EXAMPLE:
I rolled a 4, 2 and 1
4-2-1=1
4-2 =2
4-1 = 3
4 x 1 = 4
4 + 2 - 1 = 5
4+2 = 6
4+2+1 = 7
4 x 2 = 8
(4 +1) x 2 = 10
(2+1) x 4 = 12
Do you see any way to make an equation to equal 9 or 11?
