Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher conferences and Zoom meeting with non-district guests:
Make sure you do not use an old meeting from last year. Create a new meeting for this year's conferences.
You will need to adjust the meeting settings to ensure that attendees can get into the meeting.
To adust the settings, follow the directions below.
How to change the setting:
Permanently Change for All My Meetings
Log into your Zoom account through MyApps.
Click "Settings" in the left panel.
Verify you are in the "Meetings" tab.
Require that all meetings are secured with one security option: This should be turned on.
Waiting Room: This should be turned on.
Waiting Room Options: Everyone will go in the waiting room and People in the waiting room are sorted by join order should be selected.
Only authenticated meeting participants and webinar attendees can join meetings and webinars: This should be turned Off.
Change on a Per Meeting Basis
When scheduling a meeting within the Zoom client, check the box next to "Waiting Room".
Uncheck the box next to "Only authenticated users can join".
Note: If you schedule your meeting through the Google Calendar or Canvas Integration, you will need to edit that meeting within the Zoom client and perform the same steps above.
*It is a good idea to check that your waiting room is turned on. To do this, in the Zoom client, click on Meetings. Select the meeting you have created for conferences. Click Edit. Check the box next to Waiting Room under the Security section.

Schedule a Meeting from Google Calendar
You can also make any Google Calendar invite a Zoom Meeting.
Create a new calendar event or edit an existing calendar event.
Open the additional options for the event.
For a new calendar event, click More Options.
For an existing calendar event, click the Pencil icon.
Click Make it a Zoom Meeting.
This will create a Zoom meeting and populate the meeting details in the description.
Click Save.
Note: If you are rescheduling a Zoom meeting from Google Calendar, edit the calendar entry and change the meeting date/time. Do not drag and drop the calendar event or copy the meeting details to a different calendar entry.

Sharing your iPad via a Cable in Zoom
To share an iOS device that is connected by a cable to a Mac:
Start or join a meeting.
Click the Share Screen control.
Click iPhone/iPad via Cable, then click Share Screen.
If you do not have a device connected, a message displays instructions to connect your device.
When your device is connected and trusted, and the iOS device screen is on, the screen is shared in the meeting.
If your iPad does not share its screen in your Zoom session, and it does not prompt you with a popup to trust the computer, please perform these steps...
While your iPad is plugged in to the computer, open a Finder window (leftmost icon in the Dock).
You will see the iPad's serial number appear in the left side of the window under the "Locations" section.
Click on it, then in the main window you will be prompted with a "Trust" button.
Push this button, you will then be prompted to confirm on your iPad.
