The PTA supports the general welfare of our entire NH school community. We provide broad support to the teachers, students and staff to enrich every NH student's elementary experience. Over the past few months some NH families have felt unsafe leaving their homes and have kept their students home from school. In response to this, the NH PTA has been directing those who want to help provide comfort to these affected members of our community to supporting Bloomington-based community aid organizations and promoting gift card donations that can be distributed to those in need.
The staff of NH are also doing their best to support these students academically and help connect them to public resources and other support organizations.
Recently a group of parents and community members have organized a cooperative that is working to support our students and their families directly in a NH-specific mutual aid arrangement.
Donate Walmart gift cards to support NH families. Drop off in the NH office.
Volunteer to participate in cooperative direct efforts including targeted food aid deliveries, bus stop monitoring and more. Contact nhmutual@gmail.com if you'd like to help.
Support community organizations, such as VEAP (https://veap.org/ways-to-give/current-crisis-response/) or Bloomington Mutual Aid (https://givebutter.com/bloomingtonma)
Know a family who could benefit from direct mutual aid support? Ask them to contact nhmutual@gmail.com.
