Picking up a few books at the fall Scholastic Book Fair is a great way to get your kiddo training for the upcoming Read-a-thon. Books featuring all of your favorite characters, facts, flora and fauna will be available and your purchases benefit the teachers and students of Normandale Hills in their quest to get everyone reading and exploring with their mind's eye.
Can't make it in to the book fair or did we sell out of that book you wanted? 25% of proceeds from online purchases made from October 2 - October 15 also directly benefit Normandale Hills!
A great option, for those with kiddos in our youngest grades, is to setup a Scholastic eWallet. Load funds ahead of time that students can access at the checkout without needing to bring cash or a card with them to the fair.
For more information, including more details on the eWallet option and a preview of the books that will be available at this season's fair, visit https://www.scholastic.com/bf/normandalehillselemsch.
Want to help with the Book Fair and get some thank-you books at the same time? After such a positive response last spring, the PTA will again offer a $30 book fair credit to each family that volunteers for a setup, takedown, or cashier shift.
Helping is easy - the registers are simple to use with plenty of online videos available to cover any situation you may run into, and our book fair coordinators are always available to assist.
Bring your kids too - they love using the scanner wand to help ring up their classmates book fair finds.

Every year the PTA collects parent contact information to publish a directory of Normandale Hills Elementary families. Cross-referenced by grade and student name, the directory makes it easy to connect with other parents for birthday parties, playdates, sports teams, and other activities outside of school. The only way to get a copy is to add your details - sign up before September 30th at https://forms.gle/Wa3i65tDQXXrS2G49.
Have you ordered your student their Yearbook yet?
The PTA does not order extra yearbooks to sell after its release, so pre-ordering is the only way to avoid shipping charges and guarantee your student has a yearbook before school breaks for the summer.
Prices remain the same as last year:
Softcover books are $21
Hardcover books are $31
eYearbook are only $5
Order online at https://store.shopyearbook.com/nh-knights
Wondering if you've already ordered? Have a great snapshot from a school event you want to submit for inclusion in the yearbook? Reach out to yearbook@nhknightspta.com.
