Scheduling Questions

When can I change my schedule?

Schedule changes are only available during the first week of each trimester or before the trimester begins.

What changes can I make to my schedule?

Students may request schedule changes for approved reasons only, including:

Switching electives offered in the same class period
Moving between course levels (ex. Honors to Regular)
If a course was already completed
A prerequisite was not met
A registration error was made

Can I have a different lunch period?

No, lunch periods based on student prefence are not allowed.

Can I have a different teacher?

No, teacher changes based on student preference are not allowed.

Can I have a different class period?

No, students cannot change the order of their classes.

Can I switch to an online class?

Online class requests are only considered during the first week of the trimester if spots are available. Parent/guardians should be made aware and approve of any changes.

Can I take Summer PE?

Students may take Online PE only if they are enrolled in two yearlong electives such as AVID, Choir, Band, or a World Language.

Can I be a Teacher Assistant (TA)?

Juniors and seniors may apply to be a Teacher Assistant (TA). Requirements include:

Be a junior or senior
Be on track for graduation
Complete the TA application form found in the counseling office
Obtain signatures from the teacher, counselor, parent/guardian

Additional information:

You may only TA for 1 class period per trimester
Teachers may have only 1 TA per class period
Students earn 0.5 elective credits for serving as a TA
