Classroom Innovation Grants

The Education Foundation of Bloomington has a Classroom Innovation Grant program. Each year, the EFB proudly funds Innovation Grants for the dedicated staff of Bloomington Public Schools.

These grants are more than just financial support; they are catalysts for transformative learning experiences. The Innovation Grants spark creativity and forward-thinking initiatives within classrooms, fostering an environment where imagination and knowledge collide. Our grants break down barriers, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate in enriching learning and educational programs.

At the heart of our mission is the belief that every student deserves access to an exceptional education. The EFB Classroom Grants program is not just about funding—it's about empowering educators and ensuring that every student can thrive. Join us in celebrating the spirit of innovation and student success as we continue to invest in the future of Bloomington Public Schools.

It is time for 2024-2025 Innovation Grant Applications!  Apply now!!!

The Education Foundation of Bloomington (EFB) is proud to announce it is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 EFB Innovation Grants. Innovation Grants are earmarked for Bloomington Public Schools staff who submit Grant Requests to the EFB for innovative projects that fall outside the normal funding priorities of the Bloomington Public School District. 2024-25 grant applications must be submitted by 4:00pm on November 1, 2024

Innovation Grants fund innovative educational curriculum material, equipment, or an experiential event in classrooms and programs of the Bloomington School District. These grants cannot replace current curriculum, cover staff salaries or cover expenses for something where there are other avenues of financial assistance available within the district. This year’s Innovation Grants are funded by the Chip in For Schools Golf Classic and individual donations to EFB. For information on participating or donating, please see our website at www.efbmn.org.

Exciting new experiences are happening for students in classrooms throughout the Bloomington Public Schools.  In the past couple of years, EFB has provided grants that assisted staff in augmenting the tools they use as they encourage students to engage in art, physical education, music, math, science, and learning life skills. Some grants helped to build more inclusive and relevant libraries for students’ reading enjoyment.  Innovation Grants are funded through individual donations and our Chip in for Schools Golf Classic happening again July 2025.
