The Education Foundation of Bloomington, a beacon of support for quality education since its inception in 1986. Born out of the collective vision of dedicated and concerned citizens, our foundation emerged at a crucial juncture in the mid-1980s when state budgets grappled with the ripple effects of economic challenges.

In this era, public education faced unprecedented hurdles, and communities, including Bloomington, found themselves forced to make tough decisions, often resulting in significant program cuts. Recognizing the profound impact of these cuts, The Education Foundation of Bloomington was established with a mission to alleviate the strain on education budgets. Our goal was clear: to raise funds through community donations and direct them toward meticulously crafted programs that would provide vital support to both students and staff.

Since those early days, The EFB has been a steadfast champion of education, raising well over one million dollars. Our success is attributed to the unwavering support from teachers contributing through payroll donations, the generosity of residents and friends of Bloomington, as well as the funds generated from charity events and community appeals.
