ServeMN Career Pathways Program Opportunities

ServeMinnesota is recruiting members to serve in two new AmeriCorps career pathway programs that begin in August/September.

Emerging Educators

This new career pathway program is aimed at BIPOC folks interested in teaching. Members will serve in AmeriCorps programs while also earning an associate's degree in teaching from Minneapolis College at little or no cost. That’s in addition to standard AmeriCorps benefits. Application Deadline: July 29.

Public Health Corps

As part of Public Health Corps, AmeriCorps members serve as Public Health Project Coordinators to help meet emerging public health needs and to grow the public health workforce. Application Deadline: August 10.

Other AmeriCorps Programs

Like a paid internship, AmeriCorps is a career pathway to what’s next – an opportunity to explore career/job options, gain skills and get tangible work experience – no matter your age. Benefits include a stipend paid every two weeks, money for education (including tuition), health insurance and other benefits. We offer part-time and full-time positions. We’re recruiting for our programs with start dates in August, October/November or January.

· Heading Home Corps - Help Minnesotans experiencing homelessness get safe and affordable housing. Our members work directly with individuals and families to help them navigate resources and find affordable housing.

· Reading Corps/Math Corps – Help young students close gaps by building reading and math skills. You can be the support young people need to succeed in school and create a brighter future. You can also support 6-12th graders through the Promise Fellows program.

· Climate Change - Preserve, protect, strengthen environment & communities. Other programs include Conservation Corps.

· Help bridge the digital/technical divide with CTEP (Community Technology Empowerment Project).
