FREE CNA Training if you apply to work at Ebenezer!

  • Ebenezer will cover the cost of the CNA course and provide a wage for the 84 hours of time to complete an orientation day and the full two weeks of the Nursing Assistant course. The course curriculum is online.

  • The class is posted on our website www.ebenezercares.org/careers and the class is offered each month!


  • The CNA jobs we are hiring for are located in our TCU/LTC locations of:

      • Minneapolis- Ebenezer Care Center

      • Edina- Aurora on France

      • Bloomington- Martin Luther Care Center

      • Burnsville- Ebenezer Ridges Care Center


Note:

  • The class is a fast paced, half on-line (with support at our location with RN instructor) and requires some time for out of class homework and access to a computer in those 2 weeks.

  • We offer full benefits package at 60 hours in two weeks.

  • We expect at least a 1 year commitment to Ebenezer after being placed into this CNA course/job

Electrician Apprenticeship Training

  • 3 step process for applying for the apprentice programs. The union website also has practice quiz/test reading material to review.

Program Info:

      • This is a 5 year 8000 hour Apprenticeship Program.

      • Attend 200 hours per year of day apprenticeship school.

      • Tuition for day apprenticeship school is paid by the JATC.
        Book costs are paid for by the apprentice.

      • All apprentices’ jobs are referred by the Apprenticeship Office.

      • Apprentices are sent to work in order of interview ratings.

Construction

MnDot - DEED Construction Training and Placement Program (for women and minorities)

The Minnesota Departments of Transportation and Employment and Economic Development are offering job training opportunities for women and minorities who are underrepresented in the highway construction industry.

The program is offered to prepare qualified candidates for employment in MnDOT-associated highway construction projects.

Qualified participants may receive training and job retention services. Program assistance may also include help with purchasing basic tools, work clothing, and specific expenses associated with finding and keeping a job.

The Building Strong Communities Program is a multi-trade apprenticeship preparatory program. The unique aspect of this program is that it is industry driven in partnership with union trades, contractors, end users (Met Council, MN DOLI, MN DOT, Ramsey County, City of Minneapolis etc) community based organizations (CBOs) and North Hennepin Community College. Our 2021 cohort had nearly 100 percent placement opportunity. 80 percent were women and/or from the BIPOC communities.


Graduates of the program earn 4 credits at NHCC and placement into their trade.

About the training

  • No technical experience is required

All training is virtual, full-time days (M-F) for 9 weeks

    • Additional 2 hour help sessions will be held 3 evenings per week

  • Laptops and training materials are supplied

  • Training is a mix of live instruction and self-paced learning

  • After successful completion of the program, participants are placed in jobs with York clients

  • Ongoing support after graduation and placement in a job

Pay:

    • During training - $600/week

    • After being placed - $25/hour with a potential for an increase after 6 months (based on performance)

  • Must haves

    • Ability to work in the US unsponsored

    • Ability to work Full Time

    • Pass a background check and drug screen. Criminal background eligibility depends on what the offense is.

    • Complete the assessment and interviews. Transportation to a metro area office location. Currently all positions are virtual, but it is possible that in the future participants would need to work on site.

    • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Commitment of 1 year with York as a B2E Consultant
