Early Childhood & Family Education (ECFE) is a program where parents and children ages birth to 5 come to "school" together each week. Our programs set the stage for parent involvement and children's success now and in their entire educational journey. Your role as a parent in the beginning years of your child's life is crucial. Intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth occurs rapidly from birth to age 5. At no other time will your child's development be as great.
Your home is the child's first learning environment. During these important years, you the parent, are the child's most significant teacher. Raising a child can be a very rewarding and sometimes a frustrating experience. We offer a space to share the joys and challenges of parenting, receive guidance from professionals and form connections with other parents.
Our classes are staffed by licensed family educators and Early Childhood teachers. For further information, please contact Early Childhood Coordinator Shannon Wheeler at (218) 562-7520.

Community Needs Assessment
The Pequot Lakes Early Childhood program is conducting research to find ways to best serve families in this community. The goal of this survey is to identify the barriers families experience in accessing Early Childhood services at Pequot Lakes, determine solutions that work for families, and understand what families need from Early Childhood services. The responses to this survey will be used to determine what actions need to be taken in order for Early Childhood services to be accessible and beneficial to everyone who would like to participate. Your responses will be kept anonymous. The survey is below or click here for the survey to share your input.
