At ISA, Elementary Physical Education focuses primarily on the enjoyment of being active and the health benefits that this brings. A broad and balanced physical education curriculum is intended to provide for pupils’ increasing self-confidence in their ability to manage themselves and their bodies within a variety of movement situations.
Grade K-2
Students engage in a broad range of activities that enable them to develop fundamental locomotive and gross motor skills, with play, cooperation and teamwork as the central focus.

Grades 3-5
A balance of individual, paired and group activities; creative, co-operative, collaborative and competitive situations aim to cater for the strengths, needs and preferences of every pupil. Such activities, experienced within a range of areas of activity, aim to promote a broad base of movement, knowledge, skills and understanding. Sportsmanship and teamwork is a central focus of these lessons.
