Write a brief description of yourself and the goals that you have for yourself and the education or training that you will have to complete for this goal. Reference all of the colleges, trade schools or other trainings that you will need to attend to obtain this goal.
This is the section that you will use to create a bulleted list of the schools and the educational opportunites that you have had and have taken to this point in your life. Use this example to help you format the list correctly.

This is an example of a typical bubble sketch that we create during each of the projects. We use these to think through all of the projects decisions and concepts before we begin the creation of CAD files that in industry are relatively expensive work. These also allow us to not only mentally but visually work through all of the aspects of the project in regards to the layout of rooms and patterns in the building itself.
It is important that there is a uniform proportion to the rooms and any additional bubble drawings of the same project as the walls, doors, etc. must relate and align properly.
All bubble drawings progress from that form to this drawing stage. This is a single line or box drawing as we typically refer to them in the courses. These are a to scale (roughly) single line drawings of the floor plan that contains room labels as well as built-in's such as cabinets and other layout reference lines and symbols.
While they are not shown in this sketch/drawing window locations are determined and maybe included. Additionally notes are included to help clarify the design ideas. These include things like desired finishes and appliance types. It should also note the orientation of the building as this will effect the placement of the windows in the final plan.
This is a frontal elevation sketch created from the box or single line drawing/sketch. This is the first opportunity to consider the overall appearance of the building and the effects that they will have on the building. This drawings is also "to scale" as it will ensure that the appearance is proportional and accurate.
This is a sketch that is typically considered a very important part of the design process
The video is the first part of an example of the process that is to be applied in the creation of the sketches for the architectural courses at our school.
This is not an all encompassing instructional video but a relatively quick overview of the process and how it is to be applied for the course.
This is part two of the same process shown in the above video. It is not truly detailed in the instruction but again shows how we are to proceed in this portion of the design process. Additional videos and examples can be found on YouTube on the timbenson128 channel.
This is an example of on the othe final projects that was completed a few semesters back. The design and name for the plan is based on a series of homes from the United States pacific northwest. This design is such that the flooe plan is in a very formal layout with the public areas to the front and left on the entry and the private areas to the rear and upper levels. The kitchen and family room is to the right on the entry. This elimintes the public from accessing without permission of the residents of the home.
