Students are required by New York State to be up-to-date with immunizations to attend school. Minimum requirements for vaccines are listed below. Please send a copy of your child's most recent vaccine record before they start school. Please note, in 2019, NYS removed all religious exemptions for school-required vaccines.
Current students and those who have moved here from another New York school have 14 days to receive and submit proof of up-to-date vaccines. For new students coming from out-of-state, proof of immunization must be submitted to the school within 30 days.
Students who are not up-to-date with required immunizations within the timeframes listed above may face exclusion from school until they are able to receive immunizations.
At this time, Indian River does not offer vaccine administration on any campus. Immunizations can be given by your child's healthcare provider, at Guthrie Clinic (military only), or at Jefferson County Public Health.
