Human Conflict is a very serious global matter and our planet is being impacted significantly by it. Read on if you are curious to ponder the upcoming facts.
Conflict of humans has a great impact on the environment. During the Vietnamese war, U.S. forces were known to have sprayed herbicides on the forests and swamps that provided cover for the Vietnamese soldiers. During the Sudanese war, poachers (people who illegally capture animals for food) have had an effect on the population of elephants there, forcing it to go from 22,000 elephants to 5,000 elephants. There are currently only 2 female white rhinos alive, causing the extinction of the species. During the Rwandan conflict in 1994, the Akagera National Park was opened to refugees, and therefore the roan antelope and Western eland are currently critically endangered.
