Grading Philosophy

All grading practices should reflect student achievement. Therefore I commit to the following:

  1. Grades will be based on demonstrated understanding.

  2. Assessments will be organized by standards.

  3. A final course grade will be an average of percentages. (see course syllabus)

  4. A grade will not become final until the end of the semester.

  5. Students are expected to complete all assigned work.

  6. There will be times when students are expected to do work outside the school day.

  7. Retakes are defined per course syllabus.

  8. All students will be accountable for their academic integrity.
