Workshop on News Anchoring 

Resource Person - PRANESH KUMAR ROY

On the 25th of January the department of Multimedia of Mass Communication invited renowned anchor and the Deputy News Editor of Times Now, Mr. Pranesh Kumar Roy. Having a profound experience in various media platforms like Doordarshan, NewsX and All India Radio, he shared his experience and spoke to the students about different aspects of reporting and anchoring, with special emphasis on television journalism. He shared various nuances of the functioning of news channel and its corporate structure. Through an exercise, Mr. Roy instructed the students of the department to simulate breaking a report from the newsroom to the anchor. The session welcomed an array of questions from the students and the ardor was equally reciprocated by the responses given by Mr. Roy.
