Internship and Placement
A non credit and compulsory internship is an essential component of the BMMMC Course. It is envisaged to provide the student with the opportunity of “immersion”, and get a hands-in feel of the media industry. The 4-week long placement as a professional helps the student to integrate the academic theory and skills acquired from Semesters I-IV, with the demands of ground realty. It enables them to analyze, evaluate and review their own learning within the context of self and employer appraisals. It also helps them to identify their preferred work domain for a future career.
The Department acts as an interface between the students and industry and maintains a symbiotic, vibrant and purposeful relationship with organizations across the country, as a part of the efforts to develop and strengthen the relationship with the corporate world. The College Placement Cell also works to keep students informed about potential job opportunities. The Department sends students, as representation on the collage CGPC to pro actively organize recruitment drives and internships. The alumnae networks are activated and those working in different organization, or are self employed/entrepreneurs, recommend to their HR departments for placement of the present students.
