11 September 2023, Delhi: The Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication under Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi held a visit to the Lalit Kala Akademi, National Academy of Art in Madi house on 14 September 2023. The visit included a gallery walk, glass upcycling workshop and painting demonstration under the guidance of various imminent artists.

The session began with a walk around the gallery with Dr, Dilip Kumar Tripathy, Programme Officer. Lalit Kala Akademi which showcased the works of several award-winning contemporary Indian artists. The students were presented with the opportunity to see ‘Master Brush Strokes’, a live painting demonstration by Prof. Pranam Singh, an acclaimed artist of portraiture. The students let their creative juices flow in an engaging and enjoyable ‘Glass Upcycling Workshop’ with Ms. Nehmat Mongia from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, wherein they learnt the easy and fun way to make sustainable home décor with old glass bottles and clay.

The students thoroughly participated in all activities and made remarkable pieces during the workshop. The visit broadened the horizons of their creative expression and cultured their artistic and innovative sense.
