REPORT OF ALUMNAE INTERACTION WITH SAUMYA RASTOGI

The Department of Multi Media and Mass Communication organised the First Chapter of the Alumnae Interaction Series on 9th June 2022 for second semester students. Saumya Rastogi, a MMMC alum had graduated in 2020. She did her M.S. in Journalism from College of Communication, Boston University from September 2020 to January 2022. She has been avidly interested in covering politics, culture, social issues and softer topics like films and documentaries. 

The students interacted with her primarily on the academia and journalistic courses in United States and how scholarships can be applied for. She also impressively engaged the audience in narrating her own life experiences, sharing titbits from her experiences of volunteering at various other US and Indian NGOs and how it aided in the holistic development of her personality.

The second semester students were quite enamoured by her personality and confidence. This opportunity endowed them the empowering paradigm to think beyond the box and if possible, apply for scholarships for Post-Graduate in various international universities.
