Robert Burns Day

On Friday we celebrated Robert Burns by wearing a touch of tartan! All week we have been learning the poem 'The Dentist' by JK Annand. The whole class did a phenomenal job of learning and performing the poem. Some pupils have gone home with a certificate of this, but some chose to keep this in their Nessie Novels.

Maths

This week with Mr. Munro we have been learning all about directions. This involved looking North, South, East and West, and clockwise and anti-clockwise. We had to follow the directions to see which pirate themed item we landed on.

Week 2

This week was a very strange week due to the bad weather! Unfortunately Mr. Munro wasn't with us on Thursday or Friday. We didn't have an assembly due to being closed. Let's hope we have a normal week next week!

Week 1

Nessie Knight

Well done to this week's Nessie Knight! This was earned by being willing to support others in the class during literacy sessions. This has been a lovely thing to watch this week.

Maths

This week with Mr. Munro we have been looking at directions. We started off our learning in this new area by understanding the difference between clockwise and anti-clockwise. We investigated how a shape will look if turned either way. Some tricky stuff, but Mr. Munro was very proud of the level of perseverance shown.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Whilst this day is not celebrated until January 15th, we discovered who Martin Luther King Jr. was and why he was important. P3 were extremely mature in their questioning and had a brilliant understanding of the kindness and respect that MLK stood for. We created some beautiful portrait art to show off the dreams that MLK had in his famous speech.
