Come and check out this beautiful island very close to town with lots of nature activities, areas with old-style Swedish houses and outdoor possibilities all year round.

A tip for next summer: Fågelöudde is a nice beach on Lidingö, with a 5-meter high diving platform. During high season, the little shop is open where you can get ice cream or the usual warm snacks like fries and hamburgers. Even better - bring your own picnic and barbeque. Parking available or take bus 204 from Ropsten.

Ekholmsnäsbacken (Winter)
Who would have thought that you could find a little hill to ski on in Lidingö? You can even rent skis here. It’s especially good for little ones to make their first steps on skis. There are 2 lifts, one halfway for children or beginners and one to the top, which can feel really steep for inexperienced skiers. Warm yourself up in the little café afterwards.

There are several areas where you can find cross-country trails or ploughed areas to ice-skate - click here for more details.
