Stockholm is described as being composed as 1/3 water, 1/3 urban land and 1/3 greenery. Here's where you can enjoy the latter! N.B. These are just a few of Stockholm's wonderful parks and beauty spots. To find one near you or explore somewhere new, you can always search on the Stockholm Parks website here.
Djurgården
Stockholm
A nature reserve, owned by the king of Sweden since the 15th century. Royal Djurgården is brimming with museums, restaurants, and cafés right in the center of Stockholm, including Skansen, the ABBA museum and the Nordic museum. Aside from all these activities, it's a beautiful place to experience nature in the heart of the city.
Drottningholmen
Ekerö
Another right royal beauty spot, this park surrounds Drottningholm Castle, the permanent residence of the king and queen of Sweden. Drottningholm Palace itself is on UNESCO's World Heritage list, but the magnificent gardens and the Chinese Pavilion are worth making the journey alone.

This is a popular playground for kids in the Östermalm area.
Hagaparken
Solna
A large park surrounding Haga Palace, where the crown princess Victoria lives. There are huge areas of open space, running paths, forest areas with sheep and horses and even beaches along Brunnsviken. There's also the butterfly house, which provides a warm outing in the winter and the copper tents, where you can get Swedish fika.
Ivar Lo's Park
