Restitution of Artifacts to Their Country of Origin

Saturday Topic at Norra Latin

Questions about the legacy of colonialism and racism are only becoming more and more relevant. A big part of this discussion is the question of what to do with the spoils of colonialism, the artefacts seized during colonial rule that are now scattered across the globe in museum's research and exhibition collections. The question has popped up in the news as seen in the lead-up to the Coronation of King Charles III and even in popular culture. During the conference, delegates will deal with both specific cases and the topic as a whole in order to resolve the conflicts that have arisen.
