Hello, my name is Tess and I am a DP2 student at SIS. My journey with Model United Nations (MUN) started back in 7th grade, and I'm thrilled to take on a leadership role within the SISMUN team this year. MUN has played a pivotal role in my academic life, enabling me to hone my abilities in public speaking, research, and collaboration. Among the various aspects of MUN, my absolute favorite is crafting resolutions. I find immense joy in brainstorming potential solutions and working towards common ground among diverse nations.

Naz Toygar

Mini-Mun Secretary General

Hello! I'm Naz, a Grade 12 student in SIS. I've been involved in MUN since 6th grade, been in international conferences, as well as chaired a few times. I look forwards to using my knowledge and experience to spark joy and interest in younger students pursuing MUN. Organising MiniMUN and working with younger children to teach MUN brightens both my day and theirs!

Lastly, my favourite part of  MUN  is debating, especially when it gets heated and many delegates are involved!  I love using MUN as a way to make discussions about global problems and large scale solutions more accessible for everyone.  Do your best everyone! ☺️

Sahil Chowdhury

Mini-Mun Under Secretary General

Hi, I am Sahil, a Grade 12 student in SIS. Since 7th grade it has always been a passion of mine to debate and become a true representative of a country, and since 7th  grade i have seen MUN as a perfect opportunity to do so. Since 7th grade i have always actively participated in the MUN conferences in school, engaging with other students from the different grades and working  together as a committee to come up with critical resolutions. Though i wasn't the real representative of the country, I always used take initiative and represent the best resolutions to the problem we are working with. I love debating, and working with different people from different nationalities, and this year  I wish to inspire the younger kids to become excellent prospective leaders in the future.

David Lubin

Future potential board member

Hello, my name is David Lubin and I am a Grade 11 student at SIS. I have had a deep interest in MUN for many years and have attended many conferences both within the school as well as abroad. What I find special about MUN are the far-reaching global issues that are discussed and we as young people get to come up with meaningful solutions to these major world issues that are relevant in our day-to-day life. MUN also has a strong connection with two of my interests politics and history. What I find most fulfilling and one of the biggest lessons that I have learned from MUN conferences is understanding different perspectives and understanding that to reach a realistic solution there are always drawbacks and compromises that have to be made.

Nekhil Budampati

Future potential board member

Hey! I'm Nekhil, but Nick is fine.  I have been in public speaking for almost 7 years now, starting off with WSDC format debate club back in Mexico with a few tournaments under my record, but MUN has always been in keen interest for me as I plan on studying global politics later in university. I have been with the school MUN since last year and have been to the NY conference. I think MUN encourages the development of certain values and skills much needed not only in the social sciences fields, but also as a regular person in an ever changing world. I am thankful to be part of the SIS team be part of that development. It engages interests and work ethic in an effective manner.

Aaryan Budhwar

Future potential board member

Hello, my name is Aaryan, and I am a Grade 11 student in SIS. My journey in MUN started in Grade 7 since then I have taken part in more than 10 MUN conferences with various rules of procedures, the most recent one being in Berlin (BERMUN 2022). What truly captivates me about MUN is its unique ability to bring global issues to the forefront and challenge the minds of today's youth to craft meaningful solutions. MUN conferences are a great opportunity to develop your skills as a public speaker and also develop your researching skills. In the future, I aspire to be part of the MUN board committee and I am excited to be part of the MUN team as we work towards making this MUN a fruitful experience for all the participants. Your participation matters and best of luck!
