- Develop and verbally express in a class forum how they perceive aesthetic in order to grow knowing each others personal definition of "art."
- Make connections between other content areas with the visual arts, be aware of and understand that common factor which creates the connection.
- Use the awareness of art connections to other subjects in order to create problem solving strategies or creative components that would be a complement to other subjects or situations in daily life. (Knnowledge transfer)

- Develop color-mixing skills and techniques through application of the principles of properties and color theory
- Develop competence and dexterity, through practice, in the use of processes, tools, and techniques for various artistic purposes
