1- Parkinson: A Scientific Frontier:
Parkinson's disease is a movement disorder of the nervous system that worsens over time. The nervous system is a network of nerve cells that controls many parts of the body, including movement.
The Parkinson attack the mobility of the body through the brain. Start because the neurons in change of dopamine are damaged and the system of coordination fail, what it does the movements are more slowly, weak and disorganized.
Parkinson's disease has been and continues to be researched, but no definitive answer has yet been found. It was first investigated in 1817; James Parkinson was the first to describe the disease through his observations of six patients.
2- Why Do Humans Explore It?
Parkinson's disease is being studied to understand how the brain works and to discover what causes it. This would improve people's lives, especially those of the elderly. With today's technology, it might be possible to find a cure for Parkinson's or at least try to understand how it develops. Much remains to be discovered and researched. Even if a cure is found, further research is essential to prevent the disease and ensure a good quality of life for those affected.
3- Journey, Challenges & Risks:
The Parkinson usually starts slowly and silent, the first symptoms are mild tremors, muscle rigidity, or slowness of movement. With the time, the symptoms are more evident and they happen daily. The diagnostic it can take years because sometimes the symptoms are confused with the normal aging.
The life of the persons with Parkinson includes hospitals, medical consultations, physical therapies and the home itself, which often must be adapted to prevent falls. These persons have a dependence on other people.
The main risks and challenges are tremors, stiffness, balance problems and these problems can generate depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and cognitive decline.
4- The future of exploration:
In the coming decades, the technology will be facilitating the investigation of Parkinson and will allow delving deeper in the knowledge of the Parkinson. This will be allowing that they can make diagnoses with more information and with more capacity to cure or help reduce the disease.
By the middle of the century, the humanity has identified why is triggered the Parkinson.
