We will be learning to listen carefully and share our knowledge, experiences and ideas with others. We will talk about what foods we like and dislike and practice asking questions about other people’s preferences. We will strengthen our listening and attention skills by listening to adult instructions, so that we can follow different recipes.
We will be encouraging all children to keep an open mind by trying new foods and practicing how to share their likes and dislikes. During playtime, we will be focusing on important social skills like turn-taking, sharing with friends, listening to each other's ideas, and working together to include everyone in the fun.
We will be developing our fine motor control to build a strong foundation for writing. This involves using tools like scissors, tweezers, and pencils to strengthen our hands and practice small, precise movements. Separately, we will be learning about healthy diets and the important role food plays in keeping us healthy and strong.

Each week, your child will bring home a reading book linked to our phonic sessions and a story book to share with you to help develop our love of reading.

We will also be learning to sequence events in order from start to finish, so that we can share new recipes with one another. In numbers, we will focus on finding numbers that are one more and one less to five before we move on to addition and subtraction.
