Flaming I

In 1990, the Flaming I replaced the bonfire as a central event for Homecoming.  The Flaming I is organized and directed by the High School Student Council.  It is intended to be a special night for the seniors and the student body.  A time for fun and reflection.  Some of the activities included is the introduction of the Homecoming Royalty, Senior speeches, a Junior dedication song to the Seniors, a Teacher skit, the snake dance, and the lighting of the I on Cobra Hill as the band plays the Alma Mater.
