It is interesting to note that "The Derrick", Industrial's yearbook, was first published in 1947. Industrial ISD did not form until 1949. In 1947 it was the Vanderbilt HS yearbook. The Derrick has been published annually since 1947!

Industrial HS had a newspaper in the 1980's?
It was called the "Industrial View". It was printed at the facilities of the Victoria Advocate. It was printed on newsprint and was usually 12 pages in length. The Industrial View carried articles and pictures covering many aspects of student life.
