POSTERS

To see all posters from the Microquasar workshop, please visit our Zenodo collection:

Microquasar 2021 @ Zenodo

Posters and, if desired, talks from the Microquasar 2021 workshop will be freely available online. The posters are entirely electronic. A collection of participant contributions is made available through Zenodo, an EU funded data and project repository. All submissions must therefore be made on Zenodo's webpage.

In the tutorial below, you'll be instructed about which metadata to include in your submission. Once all contributions are received, ADS will be notified, they will scrape the Zenodo collection, and then ADS will index each of the contributions as part of a larger volume.

Types of contributions

Posters: Upload a single page PDF file and select "poster" as "upload type". Both vertical and horizontal formats are accepted and we do not set any requirement on the page size. Please upload your poster before the conference starts!

Talks: Upload a PDF of your talk and select "presentation" as "upload type". Please upload your talks within a week after the conference ends!

How to submit your contribution

Submitting to Zenodo is rather simple, but it's important that all metadata be properly included so that articles get properly indexed on ADS. Below is a series of screenshots taking you through the submission process from start to finish. Please not that once submitted, articles are assigned a DOI and cannot be changed or unpublished - be careful to check your submission!

Step 01: Follow the link to the submission page for Microquasar conference 2021.

Step 02: You'll be presented with a login screen. If you have a Zenodo account, proceed to login. If you do not, you may login using your GitHub or ORCID account, or you may create a new account using the "Sign Up" button located at the bottom of the frame. If you are creating a new account, Zenodo will send you an e-mail to confirm the registration and you will be only able to proceed after the confirmation.

Step 03: Once you login, you'll be presented with an "Upload" screen:

Click the button to choose a file on your local machine, or drag and drop a file directly onto the screen. If you do not see the "Microquasar 2021" below the "New upload" line and proceed to Step 04, where you will be able to choose the right community to submit to!

Step 04: After you select one or more files where you will be able to fill out a wide variety of file metadata on the boxes below the upload box. Be sure that in the "Communities" box you see "Microquasar 2021 - 9th Microquasar Workshop: Celebrating over 50 years of discovery". If you do not see this, start typing it into the search bar and it will automatically pop up.

Step 05: Now, start filling out information about your document. First, select the type of file you have just uploaded:

Posters: Upload a single page PDF file and select "poster" as "upload type". Both vertical and horizontal formats are accepted and we do not set any requirement on the page size.

Talks: Upload a PDF of your talk and select "presentation" as "upload type".

Ignore the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) field, Zenodo will take care of this for you, unless you know for a fact that the document you're upload already has an assigned DOI. If you are unsure, then it likely does not already have a DOI. Enter today's date for the publication date, if it's not automatically done for you. Enter the title of your article/poster/talk.

Enter the name of each author and their affiliation. NOTE names should be formatted as "Family Name, First name".

You will be asked to fix this if you do not do it correctly the first time. It's important for ADS that this be done properly. Continue to fill in the required information, including the description (i.e., the abstract) of your contribution.

Step 06: Fill in keywords. You can have as many keywords as you like. We suggest to fill in keywords you would usually use in a journal publication.

Step 07: Choose access rights and a license for your work. You are strongly encouraged to select Open Access and a permissive license if possible so that people can easily access your work.

Step 08-a: Optional: you may specify funding information.

Step 08-b: Optional: if you submitted to the arXiv and/or your aricle was already indexed to ADS, add the related identifying information so that Zenodo and ADS will link all of the contributions into one neat little package.

Step 09: Skip the "Contributors" section (your co-authors should have been listed in Step 05!).

Step 10: If you referenced various works in your talk or poster and want the citation to appear on ADS, please add the reference information in the "References" section. This is basically a copy-paste of a bibliography.

Step 11: Fill out information about the Workshop as shown below. You do NOT need to fill out the "Session" and "Part" entries.

Step 12: Review the information to make sure you've done everything properly and then click "Publish"! Or, if you'd like save it and publish later, click "Save"

And now you are DONE! Thank you for contributing to the workshop!

Slide presentation :

You also have the option of preparing a presentation slide for your poster, in PDF format. We kindly ask you to use an A4 vertical page, using at least 14 font sizes. The slides will be shown on a loop on a monitor during the conference. We will send the repository link to the registered participants for a poster.

We suggest that participants present on-site at the conference add a photo and / or indicate they are in presence on the slide in order to facilitate discussions.

If you have problems with the poster upload, please do not contact the whole LOC/SOC but write to Victoria Grinberg with exact description of your problem: victoria.grinberg (a) esa.int . Please allow appropriate time for a reply.
