Acanthocardia is a genus of marine bivalve molluscs from the Cardiidae family. Like most other bivalves, these molluscs are suspension feeders.

This specimen is around 8cm wide.

Method

Photo capture using a lightbox, a manual turning table a stand for the shell and a black background. The two parts were captured separately by a still camera taking images (75) on a tripod.

Both sides were modelled separately in Metashpe by Agisoft and merged once the size and texture were fixed.
