Our curriculum blends the rigors of the Cambridge International Examination system with the richness of Islamic and Arabic studies.
School hours are from 8:00 AM to 2:25 PM on Mondays,Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On Thursdays, school ends at 3:05 PM, and on Fridays, students are dismissed at 2:10 PM.
How is student progress assessed?
Student progress is evaluated through a balanced approach combining continuous assessment and final examinations.
Each semester comprises two assessment components:
Continuous Assessment (30%):
This ongoing formative evaluation is based on assignments (10%), quizzes/EOCTs (10%), and midterm exams (10%), providing regular feedback on student performance.
Final Exam (20%): A comprehensive summative assessment conducted at the end of each semester to measure overall subject mastery.
Students are expected to be present for all classes and co-curricular activities to maximize their learning potential. Students must maintain a 90% attendance rate. Students who do not meet this minimum attendance rate will not be allowed to sit for both internal exams as well as external exams.
Students requiring extended leave due to travel, competitions, or other reasons must request a leave application form from their Phase Leader. The completed form should be submitted prior to the absence.
For medical absences, parents should attach a medical certificate to the absence notification email sent by the school.
Mobile phones are strictly prohibited on school premises. Students found with a handphone within the school premises will have it confiscated immediately. Phones will only be returned to their parents after 3 months. Please refer to the Student Handbook for further details.
Wearing the full school uniform is compulsory at all times. Parents should remind their children to be compliant of the school uniform policy as per the image attached.
No modifications should be made to the school uniform. (Tapering of pants/shortening of pinafore)
FULL SCHOOL PE ATTIRE must be worn on CCA and PE days. No tight pants/leggings are allowed. If a student does not have the official PE attire, the complete school uniform must be worn instead.
Students are ONLY allowed to wear their PE attire on CCA and PE days.
No shoes with excessively thick soles, (more than 2cm thick), heels or sandals may be worn. Shoelaces and buckles must be tied at all times.
No make-up, including foundation cream, mascara or lip gloss or eyeliner will be allowed. Students will have to wash their face immediately, should they be found with any make-up on their faces.
Nails must be kept neat, clean and short. No nail varnish will be allowed. The length of nails may not exceed the fingertips.
No necklaces, chains, rings, bracelets or any similar jewellery are allowed as part of the school uniform. These items, as well as wrong belts and hijabs will be confiscated, and parents can personally claim it after a conference with person in-charge.
Hair must be clean and neat. Hair may not be bleached or coloured, changing the natural hair colour.
Wearing the school hijab is compulsory for every female student in secondary school (during all occasions). Only the official school hijab is allowed, and any other hijab is strictly prohibited (no modifications should be made to the hijab or how it is worn).
Students will only be allowed to wear their school jackets in school. No other jacket or pullover will be allowed. Students are not allowed to wear their jackets/pullovers during CCA/pe/assembly or any other formal school occasion.
The school has the right to run spot checks from time to time to ensure that all rules are followed by all students.
Students who violate the rules and regulations will be warned, offences recorded in disciplinary logbook, punished, sent home from school, or suspended if they insist on non-compliance
The school employs a tiered disciplinary system. Student misconduct is categorized based on severity as outlined in the Students Handbook. Each case is investigated by a dedicated committee. Appropriate disciplinary actions are determined and communicated to parents. All disciplinary matters are treated confidentially.
What are the school facilities?
Our Secondary School students benefit from a stimulating learning environment enhanced by university-standard facilities within the UNITEN compound. State-of-the-art science labs equip students for hands-on experimentation, while the computer lab supports digital learning. Our expansive grounds boast a full-sized football field, futsal court, and basketball facilities, promoting holistic student development.

How can I meet the Phase Leader of my child?
Parents are not allowed inside the campus. When sending their children to school, parents must stay in their cars. Should a parent need to meet with anyone including the phase leaders in the school, they should obtain an appointment for an online meeting.. Parents are only allowed to come into the school from 3.00pm – 4.00pm if they have an appointment.
