Introduction:
Welcome to the IMAS School Clinic, conveniently located on Level 1, left wing. Our clinic is open from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM to provide medical care and support to our students. Staffed by a certified nurse, the clinic is dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of all students, addressing medical concerns promptly and professionally.
Procedure for Visiting the School Clinic:
Request Permission:
Hall Pass: The student first obtains a hall pass from their subject teacher to visit the Phase Leader.
Clinic Pass: The student then goes to the Phase Leader to get a clinic pass, explaining their need to visit the clinic, whether due to illness, injury, or any other health-related issue.
Return Clinic Pass: After the clinic visit, the student should return the clinic pass to the Phase Leader, who will then return the hall pass to the student.
Proceed to the Clinic:
The student should go directly to the school clinic, following the designated route and observing any safety guidelines.
Check-In at the Clinic:
Upon arrival, the student should check in with the clinic staff, providing their name, class, and the reason for the visit.
Assessment by Clinic Staff:
The clinic staff will assess the student's condition. This may involve taking their temperature, asking about symptoms, or examining any injuries.
Treatment or Rest:
Based on the assessment, the clinic staff will provide appropriate treatment. This could include administering medication, providing first aid, or allowing the student to rest in the clinic.
Parental Notification:
If the student's condition requires additional attention, the clinic staff will notify the Phase Leader. The Phase Leader will then contact the student's parents or guardians to update them and discuss the appropriate next steps.
Return to Class or Go Home:
If the student feels better after treatment or rest, they will return back to class. If the student needs to go home, the Phase leader will coordinate with the parents for pickup.
Documentation:
The visit and treatment provided will be documented by the clinic staff for school records.
By following this procedure, we ensure that students receive timely and appropriate care while maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the school.
Please note that students must have a clinic hall pass to receive treatment from the school nurse.
Students without a clinic hall pass will not be seen.
