This pair of short stories follows Charles Hennessy in the moments after his successful mutiny against the Martian military. His escape out into the stars leads to a chance meeting with a washed up-yet brilliant outlaw and a simple clerical droid. These misfits will go on to be just the allies Charles needs to survive his new life.
