Maggie Palmiero

Hello! My name is Maggie, and I study and conduct research in the social-personality area of psychology. As a mentor, I am first and foremost a point of contact for any student facing any challenge – if your question is complex, or you aren’t sure who can help you, come talk to me, and I’ll get you in touch with the people and resources who can best assist you.

I can offer in-depth help with writing (papers, emails, presentations, etc.), reading empirical papers, and preparing for interviews or conversations with faculty. For students who are actively participating in (or conducting) research, I can assist with statistical analysis in R, preregistration, compiling IRB materials, using SONA and/or Qualtrics, conducting power analyses, and understanding principles of open science, and communicating about your research to a broad audience.

I know first-hand that aspects of life outside the scope of academics and research can influence and even prevent success – health and well-being are absolutely necessary to get the most out of education. If anyone needs to have an informal conversation about navigating their specific circumstances, or is unsure what resources are available or how to access them, please schedule a meeting with me.
