The Paper Session will be Virtual this year. For more information go to the Sponsor, Student Information, and Judges Information pages.
The Paper Session will be held at North Central College, Naperville, IL 4 on March 9, 2024. There are 20 entries allowed per school for paper session. Schools will also need to supply one judge for every two papers (or fraction thereof). Please use the google sheet, which will be sent directly to sponsors, to enter students’ names, titles, categories as well as judges’ names, contact information, and category preference. Sponsors are to also add the information for the one runner and one adult monitor they will be sending. Detailed instructions for filling out the google sheet are found on the instruction tab. Share your google sheet with Sue Ellen Gerchman at suegerchmanR9@gmail.com. Your entries must be received by February 9, 2024. This will enable Sue Ellen to get the information to the judges and sponsors in a timely manner. Please stress to the judges that their commitment is most appreciated and that the science fair cannot go on without them. It is imperative that judges who commit to judging on March 14 keep their commitment. Ultimately, sponsors are responsible for finding judges who will judge at the regional paper session and represent their school’s regional participants.
Sponsors will only submit students' reports electronically saved as a pdf. No actual paper copies are to be mailed. Files should be named as per instructions in the spreadsheet “School #First Name Last Name” (e.g. 9000John Doe). Electronic entries of the papers must be as a pdf including the Abstract, Safety Sheet, and endorsements. Sponsor’s and student’s names may be typed in the signature line on the Safety sheet and endorsements in the pdf. However, failure to arrive at the fair with 2 copies of the paper with original signatures (not electronic) on these forms could result in disqualification. Put copies of the papers in a Google Folder named with your school number and school name and share with Sue Gerchman at sue_gerchman@ipsd.org by February 10, 2020.
