MATLAB Workshop on
Signal Processing and ML Applications

Mr. Pratyush Roy, Engineer, Education Team, Mathworks India, conducted a MATLAB Workshop on 27 July 2023 in hybrid mode for the students and faculty members of IIT Jodhpur. The workshop was organized by the CETE and was attended by about 135 members who joined the workshop in online (110) and offline modes (25). 

In this workshop, Pratyush walked us through various teaching-learning resources from MATLAB that can be directly used in classroom by instructors. He also conducted hands-on session on application of MATLAB in signal processing and machine learning. Through a comprehensive example using EEG signals, Pratyush showcased various tools for preprocessing, feature extraction, signal analysis and classification. About the Speaker

Pratyush Roy works as part of Education Team, MathWorks India. In this role, he collaborates with students, researchers and faculty members from different institutes to accelerate the pace of teaching and research. He is passionate about technologies related to Data Science and Signal Processing. He has an interdisciplinary background with Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University followed by a Master’s Degree in Signal Processing from IIT Guwahati.
