LET'S CLEAN UP THE WORLD

Issues concerning theenvironment and pollution are getting more and more important because of the severe conditions of our planet. We are experiencing vast and remarkable changes concerning the climate due to pollution. Students from the surveying branch of our school (CAT - Construction, Environment and Territory) are particularly concerned about this topic also because of their studies. Involving subjects as English, Geopedology, Science , Chemistry and Physics, but also Construction, they have been asked to analyize the problem of pollution, its different forms, such as soil pollution, noise, water, visual pollution, etc, and to offer practical solution to the emergency which we are experiencing all over the world. In particular, they have also analyzed the impact of the building industry on the environment and the possibility to build reducing the impact on the territory, also by means of power point presentations and an active involvement in the italian edition of “Clean up the world”, generally acknowledged as the greatest environmental voluntary day in the world concerning the collection of solid urban waste. With the collaboration of the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Education and of Legambiente, one of the most important italian associations dedicated to the protection of the environment our students have been directly involved in a practical activity to have a cleaner and better city to live in. They have cleaned many different urban areas from waste and they have consolidated their duty as concerns the protection of the environment, their responsible citizenship and acknowledged the importance of volunteer involvement in social and environmental issues. Students from I.I.S. “Brunelleschi/Da Vinci in Frosinone have shown a great involvement in the problem. They have been concerned with the cleaning of the area surrounding the school. As some students have remarked, the key to the building of positiv social relationships is also to be found in taking back our own territory for the collectivity, because a different world is possible if we make it together.

Some students have also made power point presentations dedicated to the different forms of pollution: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1WIdWUKaZ31B8yqnQGdSY7_UWnSWiMAEzcVDBpqMpAJs/edit?usp=sharing
